Season Season

Wednesday, September 21st, 2005

Im really tired of GMA 7 and ABSCBN 2 always appending SEASON X to their new shows. I dont think they know the concept of a Season. They just want to add it so their shows look more westernized. A Season for a show in the US has 23/24 episodes. usually last from 30 mins (sitcoms) to an hour (drama). After the last episode of the season, the show takes a break from airing. usually 4-6 months then resumes airing if the network doesn’t cancel it abruptly. During the break of the show, another show will air on that slot..or reruns of the show will be aired. With the 2 networks here on the other hand, they skip the part of the show having a break and continue on to the next “SEASON” of the show. All of you might have noticed this by now..where a new show on one of the network would suddenly have “something title SEASON 2!!!”. and we are all, “huh, season 2 na?ambilis ah” then after the 4th season of the show, comes the ANIVERSARY of the show. The show suddenly becomes boring quickly and before you know it the show is canceled and a new show will air again..rinse and repeat.

Last Weekend

Last Friday I went to Festival Mall around 830. Im supposed to meet my friend tal there and watch a movie. but true to what i am accustcomed too, she backed out. Well, my mind was all set anyweis so i decided to just go on alone. There, i had my choice of valiant, the cave, and the longest yard. Since my standard for choosing a movie is 1 comedy, 2 horror, 3 animation, i went for the longest yard. I had to find out for myself if the movie was good..And it was hilarious!!! it so funny that the next day i watched it again, this time with paul and tal.
COWBOY after the movie that saturday, we then wandered outside of festi, not knowing where to go. we decided to walk to ATC since we dont have any rides (i left my car at home) as we were wandering, we noticed that there have been many restaurants now open along the way to ATC from Festi. i think they are there to cater to the call centers that are sprouting around alabang. We cant decide were to go because they wanted to have some beer and music to go along. so tal suggested to go to cowboys near SM Southmall. She said that it was a good place, especially the part where the band uses a sax. when we got there..lo and behold, bodies where dancing to the tune of an R&B song i forgot..man, was this the wrong place? there bodies were bumping and grinding to each other that they might kindle. we then got a table on the upper deck. We ordered a pitcehr of beer, a sisig and an ice tea for me (good boy). Paul then noticed that most of the people there looks like they are under-aged..and some college students. twas vewry akward cause we were just three persons there, while the others consist of groups of 6-10.
